In our 18th session, St. Paul completes his section on abuses in the Eucharistic assembly (the Mass) by the controversial topic of “women remaining silent.” Yikes! Most likely he’s addressing women (maybe WIVES) who are interjecting and shouting down the one preaching during the breaking of the bread.
We had a terrific conversation about the male priesthood, and the amazing dignity of women. Then St. Paul addresses the central tenant of Christianity: the Resurrection from the dead, chapter 15 of 1 Corinthians.
