St. John the Evangelist Church in Jackson, Michigan, warmly invites parishioners and the wider community to join us in celebrating the Feast of St. John the Evangelist, our parish patronal feast day.
Mass and Special Guest Interview
The celebration will begin with a 9:00 a.m. Mass, honoring St. John the Evangelist—apostle, evangelist, and beloved disciple of Christ. Following Mass, all are invited to remain for a special interview with apse mural artist Joseph Macklin.
Mr. Macklin will share reflections on the prayerful and artistic journey behind the newly completed apse mural, offering insight into how sacred art serves the liturgy and draws the faithful more deeply into the mystery of the Mass.
Refreshments and Fellowship
Refreshments will be served following the interview, providing an opportunity for fellowship and conversation as we celebrate this important feast day together as a parish family.
