On Wednesday, September 10, from 3:00 to 4:00 p.m., St. John the Evangelist Parish will host a Funeral Planning Workshop in the Parish Center Community Room. This gathering is designed to provide parishioners and community members with the knowledge and resources they need to thoughtfully prepare for the future.
Planning for end-of-life arrangements can feel overwhelming, but doing so ahead of time offers peace of mind both for oneself and for loved ones. At this workshop, participants will hear from guest speakers who will address several important topics. These include the role of the cemetery and funeral homes in Catholic burial practices, the importance of preparing wills, and the guidance that the Catholic Church provides in this sensitive but essential area of life.
In addition to the information provided, attendees will also have the opportunity to take advantage of special offerings. Everyone present will be entered into a door prize raffle for a free single grave at St. John Cemetery. Furthermore, all attendees will receive 10% off cemetery lot sales through October 31st, making this an especially timely chance to consider future arrangements.
The workshop is open to anyone who wishes to learn more about planning ahead—whether for themselves or for family members. By participating, individuals can ensure that their wishes are known, respected, and in harmony with the faith we share.
