In the Gospel this Sunday, Jesus is questioned by the scribes and Pharisees. They are out to catch him, to try and find something, anything to arrest him for.
The woman caught in adultery is brought before the Son of Man, and the crowd waits to hear how he will respond to this challenge. How he reveals himself, in his answer, shows us just how much God desires to save us all.
In Christ’s answer, he is both just and merciful. Revealing to us our God, one who brings justice, yet at the same time, endless mercy when we turn to him.
