Prayer for Parents at a Child’s Baptism
Heavenly Father, we thank You for the gift of new life.
As our child is reborn by water and the Holy Spirit,
help us to be faithful to the promises we make this day.
Teach us to guide our child by word and example
in the way of faith, hope, and love.
Through Christ our Lord. Amen.

Renewal of Baptismal Promises
I reject Satan, and all his works, and all his empty promises.
I believe in God, the Father Almighty, Creator of heaven and earth.
I believe in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord,
who was born of the Virgin Mary, suffered death and was buried,
rose again from the dead, and is seated at the right hand of the Father.
I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic Church,
the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins,
the resurrection of the body, and life everlasting. Amen.

Prayer for Godparents
Lord, bless me with faith and wisdom as I guide my godchild in Your ways.
Help me to be an example of prayer, love, and faithfulness,
so that together we may grow in friendship with You. Amen.
