Prayer Before Confession
Come, Holy Spirit, enlighten my mind that I may know my sins;
strengthen my heart that I may be truly sorry;
and inspire me to make a good confession.
Lord Jesus, have mercy on me, a sinner. Amen.

Act of Contrition
O my God, I am heartily sorry for having offended You,
and I detest all my sins because I dread the loss of heaven and the pains of hell,
but most of all because they offend You, my God,
who are all good and deserving of all my love.
I firmly resolve, with the help of Your grace,
to confess my sins, to do penance, and to amend my life.
Amen.

Prayer of Thanksgiving After Confession
Merciful Father, I thank You for forgiving me and restoring me to Your grace.
Strengthen me to resist temptation and to live faithfully in Your love.
