Participating in Reconciliation at St. John the Evangelist
Reconciliation is a place where the soul can find freedom and healing from sin. Through the grace of this sacrament, we find the strength to break the chains that bind us and the sin that can so easily entangles us. (Heb. 21:1), For more information or to schedule a conversation, please contact: FamilyDiscipleship@saintjohnjackson.org
First Reconciliation
We celebrate First Reconciliation typically at “the age of reason” which is usually around seven years old. If your family has a child wanting to prepare for First Reconciliation, please contact someone from our Faith Formation Department to set up a Sacrament Conversation, a necessary early step in preparing for any sacrament at St. John. Preparation will also include regular Sunday Mass attendance and enrollment in either our parish’s family sacramental preparation or St. John Elementary School. First Reconciliations will be scheduled one-family-at-a-time with Fr. Chas. Please note that the celebration of First Reconciliation is REQUIRED before receiving First Communion.
