the Book of Genesis – EPISODE 5 GENESIS 2:18-3:1

Episode 5 of our Genesis Bible Study continues with Genesis 2:18–3:1. This session explores the creation of Eve and the profound dignity expressed in her role as “helper,” understood not as subordination but as strength and complementarity. We reflect on the mystery of man and woman becoming “one flesh,” revealing God’s design for communion, covenant, and self-gift. The episode concludes with the dramatic introduction of Satan in the form of the serpent—the Nahash—setting the stage for the spiritual conflict that unfolds in salvation history and preparing us for the consequences of humanity’s first test of trust and obedience.
