Episode 4 of our Genesis Bible Study turns to Genesis 2:4–17 and the second Creation account. This session begins with an explanation of chapter and verse divisions and how they shape our reading of Scripture. We then explore the significance of God’s revealed name, Yahweh, and how it marks a more intimate relationship between God and humanity. The episode contrasts the first and second Creation narratives, highlighting their theological purpose rather than scientific competition—opening the door for thoughtful “fun with science.” Participants will reflect on the creation of the human person, the relationship between body, soul, and spirit, the richness of Eden and its trees, and the profound meaning behind Adam being formed from the adamah, the soil of the earth, revealing humanity’s humble origin and divine calling.
