Susanna, Judgment, and the Rapture Question

Daniel 13 recounts the powerful story of Susanna—preserved in the Greek tradition and included in the Catholic canon—a dramatic account of virtue under accusation, righteous judgment, and God’s vindication of the innocent. We explore its place in the Septuagint and the Catholic Bible, along with its theological themes of truth and divine justice. The episode also examines the origins of the modern Protestant Rapture theory, including the role of John Nelson Darby, and evaluates its biblical foundations in light of historic Christian teaching.
