Student Mission: Today, may God give me the eyes to see His Truth, Beauty, and Goodness; the heart to love Him, and the will to become a saint.
“Therefore be imitators of God, as beloved Children.” Ephesians 5:1. This is the Scripture verse that
our school chose to be our focus for this year. It inspired this years’ Virtues of the Month and is
summarized by the phase “Christ Like” which displays each of the chosen virtues. During Lent this
looks very specific and reflects the life and traditions of the Church. Throughout Lent, students
participate in prayer, attend Mass, pray the Stations of the Cross, and have opportunities for Adoration
and the Sacrament of Reconciliation. Daily, student and teacher names are announced as the members
of our community who are prayed for in a particular way on that day. In fact each class is given a set of
names and one is revealed each day of Lent. Stations of the Cross are done as a whole school at St.
John Church, and some weeks we do them as a class or with prayer partners, the older students helping
the younger ones to follow along and pray together. Walking the halls of St. John School, you will
notice the liturgical year is alive and well in the daily lives of our students. Student work depicting St.
Joseph, the dedication of the month of March, and St. Patrick, and the virtue of the month are visible
reminders of the life of the Church as students walk the building throughout the day. These experiences
help them understand that faith is not only something we learn about, but something we live each day
through prayer, kindness, and service to others.
Our school community is grateful for the opportunity to help children grow academically, spiritually,
and socially in a Christ-centered environment. Faith is integrated into every subject, helping students
see God’s presence in all they learn. Our small school community allows each child to be known,
supported, and loved, while building a strong academic and spiritual foundation.
As we continue this Lenten journey, we ask our parish community to please keep our students, families,
and staff in your prayers. Your prayers and support are a blessing to our school.
Enrollment for Preschool through 6th grade is open. We invite families to explore Catholic education
and learn more about joining our school community. To learn more or to schedule a tour, please
