Fools for Christ: Pride, Judgment, and the Call to Holiness
In this episode of our Catholic Community Scripture Study, we dive into 1 Corinthians 4:1–5:5 as St. Paul challenges believers to live with humility, holiness, and courage in a corrupt world. We explore what it means to be temples of the Holy Spirit, why there is no room for pride among Christians, and what Paul means by becoming “fools for Christ.” This study also tackles difficult and often misunderstood topics including “Call no man father,” moral accountability within the Church, and whether Christians are allowed to judge others. Paul’s passionate response to serious sin in the Corinthian community reveals both his pastoral heart and fiery zeal for truth. A powerful and challenging study that fiercely rocks the boat and calls Christians to deeper faithfulness.
