Wow–what a terrific letter! As St. Peter completes his thought on the false teachers in Chapter 2, he moves into the theme of “the day of the Lord” and the final cleansing of the earth through fire. This gets a little heated (every pun intended) and we chase a squirrel to the topic of the great tribulation, end times, and the private revelations concerning “the warning.”
