The Book of Matthew – Chapter 9:9-26, Episode 24

In Episode 24 of our study of the Gospel of Matthew, we examine Matthew 9:9-26 and several remarkable encounters with Jesus. We begin with the call of Matthew (Levi), the tax collector who leaves everything to follow Christ, and the famous banquet often called the “Matthew Party.” We then explore questions raised about fasting and discipleship before turning to two of Jesus’ most powerful miracles: the healing of the woman suffering from a flow of blood and the raising of a ruler’s daughter. Throughout these events, Jesus reveals His mercy toward sinners, His authority over sickness and death, and His invitation to place our trust completely in Him.
