Jesus sends out the Apostles, answers John’s question, and warns of the consequences of rejecting God’s grace.
In Episode 26 of our study of the Gospel of Matthew, we examine Matthew 10:9-36 as Jesus begins His missionary discourse to the Twelve Apostles. Christ instructs them on how to carry out their mission, teaching them to rely on God’s providence rather than earthly security. He also offers a sobering warning: discipleship will not always be easy. The Apostles will face rejection, persecution, opposition, and even division within families because of their commitment to Christ. This passage reveals both the cost and the courage required to follow Jesus faithfully in a world that does not always welcome the Gospel.
