St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church invites all people throughout the Jackson area to join us for a First Friday Holy Hour on Friday, July 3, 2026, from 5:30 PM to 6:30 PM at St. John Church, located at 711 N. Martin Luther King Jr. Drive in Jackson.
First Friday devotion is a longstanding tradition in the Catholic Church that encourages the faithful to spend time with Our Lord in prayer, especially before the Blessed Sacrament. During this Holy Hour, we will gather in the presence of Jesus Christ for a time of Eucharistic Adoration, silent prayer, reflection, and intercession for our community.
In a world filled with noise, distractions, and uncertainty, an hour spent with the Lord offers an opportunity to find peace, receive grace, and place our hopes, concerns, and prayers before Him. Together, we will pray for the people of Jackson, our families, our parishes, our schools, our local leaders, and all those who are in need of God’s mercy and healing.
Whether you attend St. John Parish, another local parish, or are simply seeking a quiet place to pray, you are welcome to join us. No registration is required.
