In this Sunday’s homily, Fr. Chas shares what will be painted on the apse of St. John Church and how its theme connects with today’s solemnity of Christ the King. Local artist Joseph Macklin aims to bring to life the wedding feast of the lamb above the altar on the apse.
We celebrate this Solemnity by recognizing how Christ is King in our own lives. Fr. Chas leaves us with a beautiful prayer:
“Dear Jesus, I not only recognize you as the Lord of the universe, but also the Lord of my own life. As our Blessed Mother Mary did, I surrender every aspect of my life to you Lord. And on this feast of Christ the King, 2024, I take you as my King. Not just on Sundays, but everyday and for all eternity. Amen.”
