Christ is risen.

The cosmic battle has been fought, and Christ is victorious. Christ the Savior has come to overthrow the powers and principalities—the spiritual empire that has plagued every person of every time and every place.

This diabolical empire wields the two greatest enemies of humanity: sin and death. These strike at both parts of our human nature. Sin causes division within the human family and destroys the soul. Death brings suffering to the body and ultimately destroys the physical part of our being.

But in the resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ, both enemies have been conquered—defeated in His very person.

There is much chaos and confusion in the world today. Yet in the midst of all of it, the timeless truth of Easter resounds with greater power. It stands above it all and will endure through it all.

The forces of evil may still exert their influence until history reaches its fulfillment. But they are already defeated. What took place on Easter has rendered that empire finished.

And yet, the work of the Church remains.

The Church militant—the Body of Christ on earth—continues the mission of liberating souls still held captive. This is our task as disciples of Jesus Christ.

Each year, we witness the fruits of that mission. More and more people—especially young people—are encountering Christ. Even secular voices, often opposed to the Church, cannot ignore what is happening.

But beyond the numbers are the individual stories—souls discovering a God who seeks them out, heals them, and loves them in a way only Jesus can.

This is the power of the Resurrection. It continues to radiate through history into our present moment, leading us toward the eternal wedding feast of the Lamb.

Happy Easter.
