Tomorrow – Friday January 22, 2016 – is the anniversary of the Supreme Court decision, Roe vs. Wade (1973). All dioceses in the United States observe a Day of Prayer for the Legal Protection of Unborn Children. Our parish has prepared for this in several ways: with our youth, in Mass, and in Eucharistic Adoration.
Last weekend, our youth minister, Hannah Stevens – a strong pro-life advocate – spent time with our youth group making blankets to be donated to women that choose life. We hope to prepare the next generation to value the gift of life as much as we do!
As Father Chas mentioned in his bulletin column last week, tomorrow we will celebrate Mass at 9:00 a.m. at St. John Church and afterwards will pray a rosary for the intention of of the Legal Protection of Unborn Children. Following the rosary we invite everyone to join us – for an hour, a few minutes, or as much time as you have – at our Adoration Chapel.
Over the last year, we’ve had a tremendous response at our Eucharistic Adoration Holy Hours, and we have Eucharistic Adoration available every day of the year! On Friday, the Chapel will be open from 8:00 a.m. until Midnight.
