Through the Cross to Holiness: Suffering, Discipline, and the Journey Toward Heaven
A really good Lenten Retreat! As we look at the wisdom of God disciplining us from sin to holiness, there are some great quotes in this session about problems giving rise to the promise and power of God; life is meant to purify us; the way to heaven is through the cross; our ticket to heaven is our suffering. There is a description of the difference between punishment and discipline, and also why suffering can be so difficult for us—yet joy to Jesus?! These verses will leave us pondering and preparing for the season of Lent.
