Jesus celebrates the Last Supper, institutes the Eucharist, and reveals the New Covenant in His Body and Blood.

In Episode 51 of our study of the Gospel of Matthew, we examine Matthew 26:17-30 and arrive at one of the most sacred moments in all of Scripture—the Last Supper. We explore when this meal took place in relation to the Passover, how Jesus fulfilled and transformed the traditional Passover celebration, and why these changes are central to Christian faith. We also examine Jesus’ announcement that one of His own disciples will betray Him and reflect on the profound meaning of His words, “This is my body… This is my blood.” Together, we discover how the Last Supper establishes the New Covenant and points directly to Christ’s sacrifice on the Cross and the gift of the Eucharist.
