In Episode 35 of our study of the Gospel of Matthew, we welcome summer intern and recent Catholic convert Carter Wilson as he leads us through Matthew 16:1-20. This pivotal passage includes Peter’s profession of faith at Caesarea Philippi and Jesus’ famous declaration: “You are Peter, and upon this rock I will build my Church.” Carter offers thoughtful insights into the identity of Jesus, the significance of Peter’s role, and the foundations of the Church established by Christ. Along the way, he provides engaging observations that sparked discussion and impressed everyone in attendance.
