My Fellow Parishioners,

You are probably aware with the official announcement last week, that I will be stepping down as
Director of Parish Operations. It certainly was a tough decision which took a lot of prayer and
discernment. I’ve been blessed to be part of the parish staff and to serve the Lord. It has been very
rewarding in that sense. To be able to adore the Lord while at work was such a blessing!
There has been an abundant amount of work that has been done to our parish facilities during my
tenure. With Witness To Hope projects, other capital projects and all of the maintenance that happens
at our facilities, there has been a lot going on these last few years. We do our best to maintain the
facilities we have, all of which would not be possible without the generosity of our parishioners who
invest here at St. John Parish. Thank you!

With that said, there is more work that needs to be done. Our 10 year plan for facilities maintenance
has $3M – $4M worth of upgrades and repairs identified. You have heard Fr. Chas mention the
restoration and beautification project of the interior of St. John church is in progress with the sacred
architect, William Heyer getting the design work started. He is currently working on the schematic
design. He is also starting the master planning which will provide a comprehensive plan looking at all of
our facilities future needs. We just met this past week with the Heyer team to start this planning
process. More information will be shared during the State of the Parish next month.
I will be staying onboard until a replacement is found. This time will vary based on the candidates that
come forward. I will continue to be involved with the parish in some capacity. I have too much
invested here at St. John to just walk away. Being a parishioner for 37 years, I am proud to call St.
John my home.

I have certainly cherished being part of the St. John team for the past 3 years. Starting out as a volunteer
and then accepting this position surely has been the Lord’s calling. I enjoyed working with the staff and
volunteers in running God’s church here on earth. I have loved my time being part of the team here at
St. John, and I hold close the memories and relationships made along the way. May the Lord continue to
shine bright his love and grace upon us!

Blessings!
