Jesus concludes His public teaching with powerful parables on readiness, faithful stewardship, and the final judgment.

In Episode 49 of our study of the Gospel of Matthew, we examine the end of Chapter 24 and all of Chapter 25 as Jesus concludes the Olivet Discourse and His public teaching ministry. Through the Parable of the Faithful and Unfaithful Servants, the Ten Virgins, and the Talents, Christ repeatedly calls His disciples to remain watchful, faithful, and prepared for His return. The discourse culminates with the breathtaking vision of the Final Judgment, where the Son of Man separates the sheep from the goats and reveals that love for Him is expressed through the Corporal Works of Mercy. These final teachings prepare us to enter the Passion Narrative in Chapter 26, where Jesus’ words are fulfilled through His suffering, death, and resurrection.
