The Book of Matthew – Chapter 7:1-14, Episode 20

In Episode 20 of our study of the Gospel of Matthew, we continue through the Sermon on the Mount with Matthew 7:1-14. Jesus addresses one of the most frequently quoted and often misunderstood teachings in Scripture: “Judge not.” What does Christ actually mean, and how should this teaching be understood in light of the rest of Scripture? We also explore the Golden Rule as a summary of the Law and the Prophets and reflect on Jesus’ warning about the narrow gate and difficult path that leads to life. As the Sermon on the Mount progresses, Christ’s teachings become increasingly demanding, calling His followers to deeper conversion and discipleship.
