Jesus calls His disciples to love their enemies, pursue perfect charity, and practice prayer and almsgiving for God’s glory rather than human praise.

In Episode 16 of our study of the Gospel of Matthew, we examine Matthew 5:43-6:6 as Jesus continues the Sermon on the Mount with some of His most challenging and transformative teachings. Christ calls His followers to love their enemies, pray for those who persecute them, and strive for the perfection of the Father’s love. We also begin exploring Jesus’ teachings on almsgiving and prayer, learning how authentic discipleship flows from a sincere relationship with God rather than a desire for recognition or praise from others.
