Jesus continues the Olivet Discourse, revealing the desolating sacrilege, the great tribulation, and the signs that point toward His coming.
In Episode 47 of our study of the Gospel of Matthew, we examine Matthew 24:15-35 as Jesus continues the Olivet Discourse with some of the most profound prophetic teachings in Scripture. We explore the meaning of the “desolating sacrilege,” the great tribulation, and the dramatic signs in the heavens. This episode examines how many of these prophecies were fulfilled in the destruction of Jerusalem and the Temple in A.D. 70, while also considering how they may point forward to the Second Coming of Christ. Through careful study of Scripture and its historical context, we discover how Jesus’ words call every generation to vigilance, hope, and faithful perseverance.
