Welcome to 2016! We are back at Religious Education sessions THIS SUNDAY, January 3. In the weeks ahead we will continue our focus on Mass responses and some basic one-liners that we call “SHOUT OUTS”. This semester we will talk more about the Church and Sacraments.
We will be putting together report cards and evaluations a little later in January, part of that will include an opportunity for you parents to give us some feedback—please be honest and let us know how we can better do this important ministry of faith formation!!

Please know I am available to talk about issues with your child, or can help direct if you need some help with your spiritual journey. You can always contact Fr. Chas or Fr. SNACK SCHEDULE.
We will provide most snacks, but would love to have you help on a rotation if you are able. If in any way this is a financial hardship, please don’t feel obligated to participate! When you are scheduled for snack, please bring enough for approximately 12-18 people to the hallway outside the Gathering Room (103 in the South Hall). Remember, this is a light SNACK not a MEAL! The teachers and most of the other parents would appreciate LESS SUGAR if at all possible. Things like granola bars, breakfast bars, graham crackers, cheesy crackers, fruit snacks, fresh fruit, fish crackers, applesauce, raisins, fruit muffins, peanut butter and crackers…
On the date below, if your LAST NAME begins with the letters, please bring snack! You are only on the rotation THREE TIMES for the whole year!

SACRAMENTAL DATES FOR 2ND GRADERS
First Reconciliation (Confession) for 2nd Graders:
Retreat Date: Sunday, January 10 2:00-4:00. St. John Community Room.
Celebration of the Sacrament: There are two options: Thursday evening, January 21, 6:30pm or Saturday Morning, January 23, 10:00am, in the Church.
First Eucharist for 2nd Graders:
Retreat Date: Sunday, March 13 from 2:00-4:00. St. John Community Room.
Celebration of the Sacrament: Sunday, May 1 — Exact Mass times yet to be determined!
YOUTH GROUP SUNDAY NIGHTS
Middle School and High School Youth Group meets Sunday nights in the Parish Center after the 5:00 Mass, 6:00–7:30pm with our Youth Minister Hannah Stevens. Evenings of praise music, prayer, friendships, sharing, goofy games, food, and always Jesus!!!
