Dear Parish Family,

You may have noticed something different about our parish center’s Community Room!  For one month, we are privileged to have on display a Vatican International Exhibition called The Eucharistic Miracles of the World.  The exhibit chronicles some of the extraordinary ways that God has confirmed our faith in the real presence of Jesus in the Eucharist.  There are 152 panels that each highlight a Eucharistic Miracle.  From February 1 to 14, the first 76 panels will be displayed, and from February 15 to 28, the second 76 eucharistic miracles will be featured.

How did we get such a blessing of having this exhibit?  A big THANK YOU to our parishioners, Mark & Sarah Zydeck, who offered to spearhead having the exhibit.  They came to me last year with the idea, and I thought this month was perfect timing for it.  Why?  This month (Saturday, Feb. 4 to be exact) marks the 5th anniversary of our unofficial eucharistic miracle that occurred at our St. John School Chapel.  It was never officially verified by the diocese, but many who witnessed the image of Jesus that seemed to appear on the consecrated Host were amazed!  I personally was not there, but I nevertheless thought it fitting to commemorate the event with this exhibit that features those eucharistic miracles that have been confirmed by the Church.

Please take the time to enjoy the exhibit’s first 76 panels sometime in these first fourteen days of February, and then return again between Feb. 15th and 28th to enjoy the second 76 panels!  The parish center doors will be open Sunday through Wednesday from 8:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m.  On Thursday and Friday, they will be open from 8:00 a.m. to at least 4:00 p.m.

The Man Event – Saturday, Feb. 25

The annual diocesan men’s conference has had a huge impact in the lives of many men in our region.  They have been occasions where men have had a powerful encounter with the living God and where they have had epiphany moments about their vocation as a husband, father, worker, and their role in society to be protectors of the dignity of women rather than the violators of it that our pop culture often promotes.

If you are a man, are you a man not just genetically, but in all the ways that God calls men to be in this world?  Come and find out if you are!  It’s open to all males ages 12 and above.

If you are a woman, who are the men in your life?  I encourage you to invite them to attend this one-day conference.  Register him and give the conference as a present.  YOU will end up being one of the receivers of this gift by the way he is more motivated to be the man you need him to be in your life!  Registration is easy at www.theMANevent.org.

Yours in Christ,

Fr. Chas
