“We passionately believe that the most urgent task is the compelling proclamation of the Gospel, one that not only shares it in an attractive – and concentrated – way, but that also offers people a way of seeing reality, and of making sense of the world, history, and life that is vastly different from the story our modern culture tells.
Until this happens, the Christian faith is often experienced as a mere set of rules and disciplines, and simply going to Church isn’t likely to lead a person to embark on the great adventure that is following Jesus and continuing His mission of the rescuing of this world.
We don’t think most people have ever heard the gospel.”
Who will YOU invite?
We’re excited to share this RESCUE season with you! Come and find out more about Jesus’ “Rescue Mission,” how we were created, captured, and rescued! How will you respond?
Please register via our parish website…https://saintjohnjackson.org/the -rescue-project/ This way, we will have all the information we need for each guest…who to seat them with, email address for reminders to be sent, etc.
If you’ll be attending with someone, please be sure to fill out a separate registration form for each participant.
Our season runs from Sept. 20th – Nov. 1st (Wednesdays from 6-8pm). Our retreat, which is a key part of this season’s experience, is on Saturday, Oct. 28th from 11am-3pm. Please check your schedule! If you are likely to miss more than two sessions or the retreat, it may be best to wait for our next season in spring of 2024.
If you’ve attended prior, we ask that you please try to accompany a new guest this time (invite a friend, loved one, neighbor, co-worker, etc.) OR consider helping on our team. Contact Todd or Shayne in the office to offer your help on our RESCUE team…there are many roles and not all require your time for each meeting.
A Special Guest this Season!
Fr. John Riccardo plans to join us for our last session this season! He will deliver that night’s content (rather than video format). We realize that many of you who have already participated would love to hear Fr. John live and in person! We are working on the logistics of possibly inviting those who have attended a prior “Rescue Mission” to be invited, too. You really can’t hear his last session about RESPONSE enough! We need continually to be praying about how the Lord is asking us to move in our circles of influence! More to come!
