IMG_0910IMG_0912Ash Wednesday has come and passed, with over 500 in attendance for Mass throughout the day, many of us were able to wear our “ashtag”, or as Father Chas mentioned in his homily, our “pricetag” which shows our infinite value as Sons and Daughters of God.

For parishioners that could not come to Mass, many of our Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion were able able to distribute ashes to the homebound and to several care homes.

Our own Todd Gale was able to visit our school preschool and childcare, bringing ashes to even the smallest among us!

heroBut now that Ash Wednesday is behind us, what will we do for the next 39 days of Lent? If you haven’t signed up yet, I highly suggest “The Best Lent Ever” from Dynamic Catholic.

rediscover_jesus_bookMany parishioners have already finished reading the book that Father Chas gave as a Christmas gift to each parish family. If you haven’t had a chance to finish (or start!) it yet, Lent is a prefect time for it. The book is neatly divided into 40 chapters, and would provide a great daily meditation.

If you’re already reading the book, we would love to hear what you think. Here is a quick way to share your thoughts with us: Rediscover Jesus – Book Review
