As our liturgical year comes to a close, we take a moment to look back over the previous year’s celebrations and remember the joys we’ve shared as a parish family and as a part of the universal Church.  St. John has had the great joy of welcoming 41 souls to the family of the Lord in Baptism, 55 young people to the Table of the Lord in First Eucharist, and 34 of our brothers & sisters received the fullness of the Holy Spirit in Confirmation!  In addition to this growth in our family, we welcomed 30 into the Church through the RCIA process; they received various sacraments of initiation depending on their backgrounds and personal journeys.  Finally, we celebrated 12 marriages.

As this year ends and a we prepare for a new one to begin, please keep all of these souls in your prayers and pray that the coming year brings more blessings to all of our extended  family of faith.  Whether you’re new to the sacraments or you’ve been part of the Church for longer than you can remember, open your heart to the way Christ longs to give Himself to you in the coming year!  I’ll see you in the Eucharist 🙂
