vigil_homily_postThis past weekend was AMAZING!  If you weren’t able to be with us for the Easter Vigil on Saturday, we welcomed home more than 20 of our brothers and sisters in faith.  Many of them received all of the Sacraments of Initiation: Baptism, Confirmation, and First Communion; several received various of those depending on their history with the Church, but regardless of which particular sacraments they participated in that night, all of them were welcomed into the loving arms of the St. John the Evangelist community and the universal Catholic Church!  It was a beautiful experience and we have been so blessed to walk beside these disciples as they’ve grown in faith and learned about Jesus’ love for them.

For our part, Todd Gale and I thank them for allowing us the privilege of being a part of their lives this year and we look forward to sharing the Supper of the Lord with them for many years to come!

If you or someone you know is interested in finding out more about coming into full communion with the Church, or if you are already with us at the table but would like to go deeper with your faith, please join us on Wednesday evenings, Cath 1016:30-8:30pm, in the parish community center as we explore the Catholic faith and how we live it at Catholicism 101.  No registration necessary, just show up!  We’d love to see you there!
