We are officially sending 30 Candidates and Catechumens to meet with Bishop Boyea at the Rite of Election and Continuing Conversion! St. John will attend the Rite of Election on Saturday, February 13 in Dexter. We have 10 people who will be baptized at the Easter Vigil and another 20 who will be welcomed into full communion with the Catholic Church.
There are more than a dozen others in the process of Inquiry who are considering RCIA; they may celebrate initiation sacraments at the feast of Pentecost in May or they might wait until next year’s Easter Vigil. Since we are now offering Year Round RCIA instead of a typical school-year calendar, anyone can inquire and start at almost any point of the year. We do offer Alpha for Catholics as our “on-ramp” to the process.
